Bellshill Autos is looking for talented individuals to join their team as Light Vehicle Service Technician Apprentices. As an apprentice, you will work under the supervision of qualified technicians, gaining hands‑on experience in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing cars and light commercial vehicles. This role offers structured on‑the‑job training alongside formal study, enabling you to develop the technical knowledge, practical skills, and workplace experience required to become a qualified light vehicle mechanic.

The successful applicant will be confident, self‑motivated, and eager to work as part of a team. A genuine interest in the automotive and engineering industries, an inquisitive nature, and a desire to fix things are just as important as academic achievements.
Must have five qualifications at National 5 level, including Maths, English, and Science. Predicted grades will be taken into consideration.
On‑the‑job training will be carried out in the employer’s workshop with a workplace mentor. Off‑the‑job training will typically involve a one‑week block release at college.
You will build portfolios to record training, experience, and skills gained throughout your apprenticeship, self‑study, and the combination of on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job training, working towards the Modern Apprenticeship Framework standards for Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, including Core Skills.
