The Youth Service aims to provide opportunities to create personal learning and development opportunities for all young people in Sandwell. The service is made up of Centre Based, Detached, Youth Involvement and Inclusions Teams working across the six towns in Sandwell.
We are looking for Senior Youth Workers who can meet the needs and aspirations of young people and deliver high quality Youth Work. You will be fun, engaging, patient, empathic and a good communicator, ensuring that young people’s voices are heard and they are supported to reach their full potential.
The successful applicants will lead a team of youth workers to plan and deliver services and activities within a centre based setting.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience of working with young people and willingness to obtain qualifications in youth work as prescribed by management.
* A good attendance record – candidates should have less than 3 absences in the last 6 months or not more than 6 days absent over the preceding 6 months. Absences relating to a disability or other incapacity will be viewed sympathetically if fully explained.
Hours: 6 hours per week.
The successful applicant will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
