About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Data & Business Analyst to join our fast-paced and skilled team, working at the intersection of business process optimization and technology-driven change. You’ll play a key role in managing complex data sets, supporting real-time data provisioning, enhancing data governance practices, and delivering end-to-end solutions for our trading operations across Power, Gas, and Metals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver technology-enabled business change independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Work with complex datasets to improve and streamline business processes.
* Provision and manage key market and fundamentals data (e.g., Prices, FX rates, Auction results, Consumption, Generation).
* Enhance in-house data platforms with features like data integrity checks, governance frameworks, and visualization tools.
* Engage with stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements and translate them into user stories and technical documentation.
* Lead UAT sessions and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business expectations.
* Create user-friendly documentation and visualizations to support understanding and adoption.
* Drive data governance best practices across the organisation.
* Support vertical leads with planning and expectation management around solution delivery.
What You’ll Bring:
* Experience working with commodity data, particularly in Power, Gas, and Metals markets.
* Familiarity with market data providers like ZEMA, Refinitiv PointConnect, Bloomberg is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in analyzing real-time data and API connectivity (using tools such as Postman).
* Strong troubleshooting skills with production issues using tools like ELK Stack (Elastic Search, Kibana).
* Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana, Power BI, Tableau).
* Technical proficiency in handling data formats like JSON, CSV, and querying with SQL.
* Solid understanding of the commodities trading landscape (physical and financial).
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Self-starter mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
