who are we?
RAFCTE is best known for staging the world renowned Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire each year. In 2003, RIAT was granted status as the largest military air show globally by Guinness World Records. In addition to the heads of many of the world’s air forces and major suppliers to the sector, RIAT also hosts thousands of aviation enthusiasts and members of the public over three days. As well as aviation the event is increasingly a family day out, with the exceptional Techno Zone providing unique interactive STEM activities, under the banner of RAFCT’s mission to inspire young people to fulfil their potential in air, space and technology. In total, over 200,000 people attended RIAT in 2024.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Enclosures Logistics Assistant delivering our vision for RIAT 2025. This person will be responsible for supporting the Enclosures Group Admin Assistant and Enclosures Group Manager in the day-to-day delivery of the RIAT Enclosure Build/load-in, Load-out/Recovery phases.
Your Main Responsibilities Will Include
* To be an onsite representative of RAFCTE site management and help ensure all work is done safely and according to schedule - flagging up any issues to the Enclosures Group Manager
* Carry out manual handling tasks
* Building a strong relationship with the ground operations team and on-site contractors
* Problem solving
* Supporting the volunteer host teams with any build/logistic issues pre, post and during the event
* Leading a team of volunteers and support crew pre and post event
* Any Ad hoc tasks from the Enclosures Group Manager
Type Of Contract/working Hours
Fixed Term Contract: 7th July 2025 - 25th July 2025
36.25 hours per week. You will be required to work the weekend of the air show (Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July) as well as one day the weekend before – either Saturday 12th or Sunday 13th July.
What We Will Offer
A salary of £25,000 per annum pro rata.
You will also be given two complimentary tickets to The Royal International Air Tattoo and a staff discount of 50% for an additional six.
