Overview
A personal assistant is required to support a seven-year-old autistic girl with a learning disability living in Redruth. She is non-verbal and would like someone with whom she can build a positive relationship and who can provide 1:1 support in the home and in the community, enabling her to explore and thrive. The role focuses on helping her develop independence and engage in activities that encourage new skills and social interaction. She experiences some anxiety around new people and places, so anyone supporting her will need to take time to build a relationship. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a young person in expanding her world, building confidence, and gaining greater independence – while making a meaningful difference in her life.
Pay: Starting at £12.60 per hour, with potential for increase based on skills and experience. Hours: 4 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to suit the candidate's availability.
