An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Safeguarding Adult at Risk team for a senior social worker. We work with citizens aged 18 to 65 who have care and support needs primarily related to alcohol or substance abuse whose non-engagement with support is thought to be placing them at significant risk We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced social worker with an excellent knowledge of safeguarding in the context of the Care Act to join our supportive team We utilise a multi-agency approach to work together with our partners to achieve the best outcomes for the people we work with We are a small, supportive team and provide regular supervision, peer support and bi-monthly group supervisions We encourage professional development and a learning environment. You will have the opportunity to develop your practice through post-qualifying opportunities, a host of safeguarding training modules and regular webinars Your main duties will be to lead on section 42 enquiries to establish the persons wishes and feelings, analyse presenting risks and implement protective measures You will also be required to complete Care Act section 9 and 11 assessments with a strengths-based approach to obtain a holistic view of the person's needs Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to manage complex cases while illustrating clear risk analysis and creative strategies for engagement and support You will require a social work qualification and proven experience in working within adult safeguarding.
