The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will take a lead role in planning, delivering, and assessing lessons for pupils with additional needs. You will support pupils’ learning in line with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets, provide personalised interventions, and work closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to ensure continuity of support. You will also monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
You will be responsible for promoting positive behaviour, independence, and resilience, ensuring pupils feel confident, included, and motivated to learn.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons for pupils with SEND
* Implement and monitor IEPs and EHCP targets
* Deliver targeted interventions to support pupils’ academic and personal development
* Promote positive behaviour, independence, and resilience
* Track pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records
* Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
* Contribute to staff meetings, CPD sessions, and whole-school initiatives
* Support transitions, enrichment activities, and school events
* Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are strictly followed

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
