What is the purpose of this job?
The Rail Delivery Group is seeking a dynamic Product Lead to join our delivery team. In this role you will be responsible for shaping and driving the development of the passenger information system/product and associated service that will be rolled out across the network following a successful trial at a selection of England’s stations.
What can I expect to do in this job?
Albeit not an exhaustive list, the post holder can expect to do the following:
* Act as the go-to subject matter expert for the product, providing guidance and advice to internal teams and partner organisations on the product.
* Establish and maintain alignment of the product with accessibility, inclusion, and passenger experience goals and priorities.
* Lead on the definition of requirements for the product and its constituent parts, bringing together all relevant stakeholders and SME’s.
* Ensure the product design meets the requirements.
* Identify opportunities to scale, enhance, or evolve the product based on operational feedback and data insights
* Engage with internal and external product stakeholders to understand and refine the product vision driving and contributing to the product roadmap.
* Create and drive the Product roadmap, managing change and the product backlog in line with the business product strategy, including QA and Service delivery alignment.
* Contribute knowledge and expertise to the creation of requests for quotation and proposal and supplier selection process.
* Drive decision making related to the product and its constituent parts and help shape those decisions.
* Work with customer in mind, initiate and facilitate customer engagement, respond to customer feedback and insights to improve customer experience with the product.
* Ensure GDPR and Privacy Management Framework compliance.

Requirements
What experience, skills and knowledge do I need?
* We are looking for someone with an experience of developing a concept into a deliverable product and implementing it across locations / channels.
* Experience of working within accessibility domain, deep understanding of accessibility agenda and policy.
* Experience of managing integrated information products incorporating software and hardware development.
* Commercial and analytical acumen.
* Experience working in an Agile and fast paced environment, in Product Manager or Delivery Manager / Project manager roles.
* Experience in defining a product vision, goals, and KPI’s.
* Experience developing a deep understanding of customer needs and translating into clear user stories and product requirements.
* Experience prioritising tasks within a product backlog.
* Ability to analyse data, form hypotheses, and decide what to do next.
* Proven ability to deliver digital or physical product development projects to time, cost and quality.
