We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated research administrator to join our practice research team.
Cripps Health Centre, hosts of the NIHR Nottinghamshire Commercial Research Delivery Centre (Primary Care) is one of the UK's leading sites for Primary Care research covering a wide range of areas. Our research portfolio consists of both commercial and non-commercial trials, including research in vaccines, mental health, sexual health, asthma and paediatric clinical trials.

Main duties of the job
This role sits across a number of teams within the health centre and will include liaison with clinical and administrative staff, project sponsors, auditors, regulatory bodies and trial participants.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to the practice research team on a variety of projects, including liaising with clinical staff, project sponsors, participants, regulatory bodies and others.
* Assist the research team and clinical research associates with the preparation, maintenance, filing and archiving of clinical documentation and systems.
* After appropriate training, support in a number of clinical aspects such as: laboratory operations, phlebotomy, ECGs, and clinical observations.
* Recruit participants and book appointments.
* Create and maintain Investigator Site Files (ISFs).
* Liaise with Clinical Research Organisations and manage monitoring visits.
* Computer data entry, data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures.
* Provide clerical assistance to practice staff as required, including word/data processing, filing and photocopying.
The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by this role may be varied from time to time under the direction of the Research lead, dependent on current and evolving practice workload and staffing levels.

Our practice employs a large number of clinical and administrative staff to support the health needs of the University community, students, staff and their dependants. The practice has been a clinical research leadership site for a number of years with work ranging from small-scale audit-based research through to large-scale vaccine trials of up to 1600 participants. We have a permanent research team of practitioners, nurses and GPs as well as working closely with a range of partners.
Person Specification
Experience
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Experience of working in clinical research.
* Experience of working with Investigator Site Files (ISFs).
* Experience of lab work or similar.
Qualifications
* GCSE or equivalent A-C in English and Maths.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in science or a science-related subject.
