Within this, the global Service Management team ensures operational excellence and resilience across our technology estate. A newly created Applications Command Centre will sit within this team, focused on managing BAU operations and supporting major incident activity.About the RoleThis role will lead the daily operations of the Applications Command Centre, manage outsourced teams and ensure high-quality service delivery. You’ll be responsible for performance oversight, reporting, and driving improvement initiatives. You’ll also support the Major Incident Management (MIM) function, providing assurance during critical periods and participating in the on-call rota.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day performance of the Applications Command CentreReview and challenge weekly/monthly performance reportingProvide guidance during high-traffic periodsAccept and retire shift-left activities from Applications SMEsIdentify and address performance issuesLead improvement initiatives and annual audit processesChair daily stand-up callsEngage in Major Incident Management duties across the incident lifecycleParticipate in 24/7 on-call coverageAbout the CandidateThe ideal candidate will possess the following:Experience in Service Desk, Event Management or Command Centre environmentsStrong stakeholder management skills across varied prioritiesAbility to operate in complex IT environmentsProficiency in reporting and MS Office toolsUnderstanding of enterprise IT delivery infrastructureExcellent communication skills and attention to detailStrong customer service ethos and collaborative mindsetITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certificationWe are proud to be a Disability Confident Committed employer.
