Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Kidderminster
Pay Rates: £12.40 to £24.80 p/h
Experience: Production experience essential
Hours: Monday to Friday (06:00 - 14:30)
Assist Resourcing are looking for Production Operatives in Kidderminster to work for our client, who is a leading manufacturer of rounded agricutural timber products This is a manual role and you will be required to lift heavy objects and stack materials Previous experience working with timber would be beneficial

Roles & Responsibilities:
Interpret technical drawings/measurements and production order documentation to assemble timber components to meet quality and output targets
Competently operate a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools for cutting, shaping, and finishing products safely
Identification of raw material components, labelling and specifications and designation stock locations
Completion of timely material, production output and work equipment safety checks
Follow Safe Systems of Work, Standard Operating Procedures, and all relevant processes and equipment instruction
Ensure correct packaging and labelling of timber products for identification and stock control, including FSC™ requirements
Using water-based spray paint equipment o finish Posh Sheds within an enclosed booth
Conduct basic routine equipment maintenance and keep a clean, orderly work area
Adhere to all company rules and safety protocols, demonstrating company values
Complete all mandatory training
Report accidents, near misses, unsafe acts/conditions, and contribute suggestions for safety improvements
Support the use of new technology: such as automation, handheld scanning devices etc
Undertake additional duties as requiredAbout you:
It is essential that you are and have:
An experienced user of powered hand tools
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
Resilient manual handling skills in an industrial work environment (full training provided)
Effective team player, keen to contribution to departmental output objectives
Reliable, proactive, and conscientious
Able to maintain accurate paper and electronic production records
Access to suitable transport for commuting
Able to work in varying weather conditions year-roundDesirable qualities include:
Previous woodworking experience with mechanical cutting and finishing tools.
Experience in industrial spray painting.
FLT trained operative (must have 6 months current accredited certification remaining)
CNC experience.
