Here at Innovative Technology, we have an excellent opportunity for a Software Developer (Biometrics) Placement Student to join our talented team in our global head office in Oldham, Greater Manchester for 12 months starting Summer 2025.
Role Overview
As a Software Developer, you will maintain and develop software tools to evaluate the performance of our ICU range of biometric products. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping our development within the ICU Intelligent Identification Team.
Your Responsibilities
* Supporting senior software developers in maintaining and improving the current codebase
* Developing and enhancing software tools to evaluate biometric algorithm performance
* Investigating and resolving underlying issues based on testing
* Contributing to improvements in face analysis algorithms
* Ensuring code added to pipelines and Git repositories is of high quality, well-documented, and maintainable
Your Skills & Experience
* Hands-on skills in software development (e.g., Python, C#)
* Analytical approach to problem-solving and bug fixing
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure
* Fast self-learner
* Basic knowledge of UX/UI design
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
