Health and Safety Manager (6-12 Month FTC) | Glasgow
£55,000 plus Excellent Benefits
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a well-known Health and Safety media organisation, who are looking to bring on-board a new Health & Safety Manager to work across the organisation, providing Health and Safety expertise and support. The organisation is a household name and one of the largest in the media sector in the UK. The role is for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract with potential for extension.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Manager will include :
* Implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation
* Reviewing the production of risk assessments and method statements and answering any Health and Safety related queries
* Undertaking audits and inspections of the sites, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting on the findings
* Managing the Health and Safety team, ensuring best practice across the function
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have :
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the media or events industry
* NEBOSH Diploma as a minimum (with relevant IOSH membership)
* Excellent communications skills with proven experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders in a corporate environment
* Experience managing a team within a Health and Safety capacity
