Your role: We are seeking a passionate Digital Inclusion Officer to join our team. You will have expertise in engagement, equalities, inclusion and champion the cause of people who are having difficulty getting online and contribute towards ensuring that our residents across the borough have the opportunity, access, knowledge and skills necessary to use technology effectively and safely. You will drive digital inclusion initiatives, ensuring equitable access to technology and digital literacy for all residents, regardless of their background or circumstances. You will manage volunteers and promote our TechMate programme including the delivery and promotion of relevant online tools for residents and volunteers. You will work closely with various departments, community groups, and external partners to deliver on the New Era missions, creating fair opportunities and developing thriving neighbourhoods. About you: We are seeking someone with exceptional communication skills, someone who is organised, has a curious mindset, and a passion for innovation as the ideal person will be collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address digital inclusion needs. Ideally, you will have some knowledge of digital skills in relation to future economic growth, excellent project management skills, and the ability to break down problems and challenges to devise innovative solutions. Flexibility and the ability to challenge the norm are crucial, along with the talent to build and maintain strong relationships. You will be an innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and be a strong advocate for equality and inclusivity.
