Job Title: Installation Engineer

Our client, a leading specialist in low-carbon heating solutions, is seeking an Installation Engineer to join their dynamic team during a period of significant growth.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a practical and energetic engineer to play a key role in the installation of state-of-the-art renewable heating systems. You will work under the direction of experienced Installation Supervisors, supporting a dedicated engineering team in delivering high-quality, sustainable heating solutions for domestic properties across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
Your day-to-day duties will be varied and hands-on, including:
Installing heat pump systems in individual residential properties, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and comply with industry regulations.
Fitting Heat Interface Units (HIUs) and connecting them to centralised heating systems.
Pipefitting for heating, cooling, and hot water distribution systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Performing fusion weld pipework to create durable, leak-proof connections.
Installing lagging and insulation on pipework and equipment.
Carrying out basic electrical work related to heat pump systems, such as wiring and connecting control panels.
Fault finding and problem-solving to diagnose and resolve any operational issues.
Completing Quality Control checks to ensure all work meets the highest industry and customer standards.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be a methodical self-starter, keen to take ownership of tasks and capable of working both autonomously and as part of a close-knit team.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
A relevant Engineering or Plumbing Qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
Demonstrable professional experience in plumbing and/or pipefitting.
Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, including flow and pressure.
A solid understanding of regulations relating to hot water systems (e.g., Building Regulations Part G).
A meticulous eye for detail, with the ability to error-check your own work and maintain high standards.
Desirable Experience:
Background in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or construction industry.
Experience with commercial Pre-Insulated Pipe (PIP) installations.
Experience in producing and completing inspection reports for QA/QC purposes.
Salary Package:
