Stock Controller
OA are recruiting for a Stock Controller to join our client’s successful and growing team.
You will be responsible for all incoming and outgoing stock including event equipment. The role will include cycle counting, audit reporting, space utilisation and location optimisation within the warehouse, working closely with warehouse management.
We are looking for an organised team player who can continuously meet expectations, with an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people. You will develop a ‘right first-time culture’, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction through the service provided.
Location: Aston Clinton
Hours: Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with shift options including 6am–2pm and 9am–5pm with flexibility required for overtime during peak periods, from 6am-10pm.

Stock Controller Key Responsibilities
Responsible for stock integrity with aim to maintain 100% accuracy. Performs cycle counts and RCA’s for any discrepancies, communicating outcomes with suggestions for improvement to management.
Performs process audits to identify potential sources of inventory discrepancies or quality issues stemming from deviations in processes, communicating outcomes with suggestions for improvement to management.
Periodically review stock movements, optimisation of product placement and location type based on sales patterns for each client, aiming to provide efficient picking and storage layouts.
Periodically reviews storage and develops consolidation plans with aim to increase available storage.
Develop and maintain replenishment plan that is in line with the current sales demands aiming to reduce pending replenishment pick shortages, ensuring replenishment plan is adhered to.
Issue a reservation or refusal in the case of a perceived abnormality regarding goods – reporting abnormalities to management.
Operating on multiple WMS systems to ensure the maintenance of stock integrity, utilising existing or creating bespoke reports to achieve this.
Assists with the processing of returned stock – reviews the returns data to identify potential internal quality issues.
Liaises with Finance and Client Support team regarding aged or expired stock, to effectively manage removal of obsolete or expired stock.
Training and educating the organisation in effective stock management so that capability increases across the organisation.
Any other reasonable related duties as required.
Stock Controller Skills and Experience
Intellectually robust with a good standard of education with at least 5 C / GCSE’s or equivalent.
HND or degree educated (preferably in logistics, business, STEM, finance, accounting or similar field)
Accurate data skills, PC literate
SAP experience, WMS advanced / super user experience, inventory or stock control experience
Intermediate/advanced spreadsheet skills (Pivot tables/SQL querying)
Demonstrate support and drive for continuous improvement activity
Ability to represent company values and embody company goals and visions
Communicate in a professional, clear and concise way
Leadership skills at a supervisory level
Project Management
Ability to demonstrate an organised and accurate approach when working in a busy environment.
Practical problem-solving skills with a hands on approach to resolution.
