We’ve got an exciting Trainee Vegetation Controller role just for you! In this position, you’ll get to provide an arborist/vegetation control trade's service to the Company's Transmission Business Unit, making a real impact. Carry out pruning, trimming, de-limbing, and dismantling of trees using a range of industry‑standard techniques and equipment, including chainsaws Fell trees safely and efficiently by applying appropriate felling methods for varying environments, including machine‑assisted felling where required Process and dispose of vegetation using specialised equipment such as brush chippers and grinders Perform ground‑based duties, including acting as a safety observer and supporting arborists working at height Complete all required job documentation accurately and on time in line with company and client expectations Communicate professionally with landowners to explain planned work and ensure clarity around site activities Operate specialist off‑road vehicles and machinery to access and complete vegetation management tasks Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required: Tree felling skills A minimum of NZQA Level 1 is desirable An awareness of Industry safety requirements Previous experience and aptitude for outdoor work Who are we?
