JOB TITLE: Public Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

SALARY: £81,999- £91,110 in London, or £70,929 - £78,810 outside of London

LOCATION(S): London, Halifax, Leeds or Manchester

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our locations noted above.

Our core technology focus is on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.

Your role as an Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for delivering, maintaining, and securing infrastructure resources that host colleague and customer facing services. This will be on our Public Cloud Infrastructure and the Technologies will be connected to our Operating Systems & Control lab.

You will work collaboratively with the Engineering & Product Owner Leads, in building, and executing our road maps, whilst participating in the planning, and delivery of our goals, driving prioritisation, escalate impediments, acting on learnings and demonstrate successes. You will be encouraged to participate in technical communities both internally and externally to advance shared capabilities and to be a role model and mentor early career engineers to advance their technical skills.

What You’ll Need


* Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g. Terraform, Python, PowerShell)
* DevOps / Continuous Deployment CICD experience
* Knowledge of Cloud networking and Enterprise Scale and Landing zone

In addition, any experience of these would be useful:

* FinOps mentality and “right-sizing” cloud solutions
* Security and governance conscious engineering (e.g. Identity and access Management implementation principles)
* Experience in cloud native governance and policy tooling (e.g. Azure Policy, Google Customer Org Policy).
* Experience in platform automation to support asset management tracking and FinOps scenarios.
* Implementation of governance frameworks to enforce cloud usage policies, tagging standards, and security baselines across multi-project/multi-subscription environments.
* Collaborate with compliance, risk and audit teams to team to translate regulatory requirements (e.g. SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPPA, GDPR, PCI DSS) into technical controls in the cloud.
* Adherence and experience of compliance frameworks (e.g. CIS Benchmarks, NIST 800-53).
* Building or maintaining automated continuous compliance monitoring solutions (e.g. CSPM, CNAAP).
* Assessing cloud environments for drift and misconfiguration and remediation workflows implementation via automation.
* Scoping and deploying appropriate audit / preventative policy to environments.
