WBFL is a commissioned programme in County Durham, built on the principle of Your Wellbeing, Your Way. Using a behaviour change model, the team supports individuals living and working across the county to take small, tailored steps towards better health.

The Training Officer will work collaboratively with the wider AWS team to design, develop, and deliver a wide range of capacity-building training programmes and activities across County Durham. The role includes continuous service improvement and evaluation of training courses to ensure they remain effective, relevant, and responsive to local needs.

Working closely with the Community & Quality Project Lead, the post holder will contribute to the development and implementation of systems that support staff, learners, and volunteers -ensuring the delivery and evaluation of high-quality training. They will also play a key role in supporting centre recognition with awarding bodies, including but not limited to the Royal Society for Public Health and AIM.

The Training Officer will be responsible for ensuring quality assurance across all aspects of the training offer, including undertaking competency-based assessments of staff, observing practice, and maintaining high standards.
