The Pathology departments at University Hospitals North Tees and Hartlepool (NTH) and South Tees Hospitals (STH) are working collaboratively to develop a joint service called Tees Valley Pathology (TVP) with services being delivered on all hospital sites.
Part time 18.We are seeking applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic individuals with appropriate experience, knowledge and skills to join our scientific team and participate in the delivery of services provided by Microbiology based at The James Cook University Hospital.
You will be expected to be flexible in your approach to working hours but will cover mainly weekday shifts. There is also an expectation that some weekend and evening sessions may also be covered occasionally. The role will involve delivery of scientific support duties within Microbiology and supporting the Senior team.
Applications will not be considered from candidates holding a degree in Biomedical Science or from HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists.
Leadership and Improvement Training
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification e.g., Significant evidenced experience in laboratory environment.
