Job summary
As an Activities Lead at a Barchester care home, you'll help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for our residents. You will be responsible for devising imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability, and for updating the home's social media platforms. This is an extremely rewarding role that involves getting to know the residents and their families to create tailored activity programmes focused on maximizing their wellbeing, independence and social engagement.
Main duties of the job
The Activities Lead will be responsible for creating a stimulating environment and devising engaging activities for the residents of the care home. This includes planning and coordinating a range of activities, from arts and crafts to social events, to cater to the diverse interests and abilities of the residents. The role also involves building relationships with the residents and their families, and updating the home's social media platforms to showcase the activities and community involvement. The successful candidate will need strong organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for improving the quality of life for the elderly.
