You will be joining a well-established and highly regarded organisation based in Cardiff, known for its collaborative culture, strong operational values, andmitment to continuous improvement.Due to a period of change within the finance team, they are now looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant on a fixed-term basis to support the smooth running of financial operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure across a professional finance function within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Your new role

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the finance function, supporting both transactional and administrative processes. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate coding across the general ledger, cost centres, and projects
2. Monitoring the finance inbox and responding to internal and external queries
3. Preparing supplier payment runs and supporting timely payments
4. Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
5. Allocating iing payments and maintaining accurate sales ledger records
6. Monitoring debtor balances and supporting credit control activities where required
7. Processing bank transactions and performing regular bank reconciliations
8. Supporting staff expenses andpany credit card administration
9. Assisting with journals, accruals, and general finance processes
10. Providing general administrative support across the finance team
11. Supportingpliance processes where required
This is a varied and hands-on role, offering strong exposure across both accounts payable and receivable, making it ideal for someone looking to develop a broad understanding of finance operations within a busy and dynamic organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

12. Previous experience within a finance or accounts administration role
13. Experience processing invoices or supporting accounts payable processes
14. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
15. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
16. Strongmunication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
17. Confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
