You’ll be joining our Editorial Production team within the Design & Production Centre, a collaborative group responsible for ensuring our content is delivered to the highest possible standard across print and digital platforms.
Working closely with Editors, designers, and production specialists, the team plays a vital role in bringing our brands to life—ensuring every page is accurate, engaging, and visually compelling. You’ll be part of a fast‑paced, supportive environment where teamwork, precision, and creativity are key.
The Difference you will make
As a Production Editor, you’ll play a central role in ensuring our content is delivered on time, error‑free, and to the highest editorial and design standards. You’ll help shape the quality and consistency of our brands, working across multiple titles within the automotive and rail sectors.
Your ability to manage workflows, maintain high standards, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders will directly impact the success of each publication. This is an opportunity to take ownership of production processes while contributing ideas that enhance both efficiency and editorial quality.
Your role
You will oversee the production process, ensuring content flows smoothly from initial copy through to final print and digital output.
Responsibilities
* Supporting production planning and setting deadlines across multiple titles
* Editing, subbing, and proofreading copy and layouts to a high standard
* Managing workflow across flatplans and ensuring deadlines are met
* Writing and refining headlines and introductions
* Collaborating with editorial and design teams to ensure content and layouts align
* Monitoring quality and flagging any issues with copy or design
* Managing the flow of proofs and ensuring corrections are implemented
* Carrying out final checks to ensure pages are accurate and publication‑ready
* Coordinating freelance resource where required
* Ensuring all content meets legal and editorial standards
The Skills you will bring
* Strong editorial and sub‑editing experience with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* High standards of accuracy in grammar, tone, and consistency
* Experience working with Adobe InDesign
* Experience using tools such as Dataplan and Monday.com
* Knowledge of print production processes and sending to printers
* Ability to work across both print and digital platforms
* Experience contributing ideas to improve workflows and content quality
Working Pattern/Location
Hybrid working pattern, with a mix of office‑based and remote working depending on team needs.
