The company is recruiting a qualified Director to assist them in establishing, leading, and developing their core business in the UK. They are looking for a senior and experienced individual with a relevant background and in-depth knowledge of the payments industry specifics in the UK. The ideal candidate should have great communication skills and be willing to travel for business on occasion. The ideal candidate should be fluent in English.
Expectations
* In-depth knowledge and expertise in the field of internet acquiring technology and operations (how payments are conducted, specifics of dealing with merchants, problem solving from the acquiring perspective and deep awareness of the e-commerce technologies).
* Knowledge of the AML/CFT processes including selection of vendors, assessment of the risks for the merchants and application of technology in this sphere).
* Good understanding of the features in an e-commerce business in Europe, especially in the UK.
* An appropriate education in the field of finance or any relevant fields.
Requirements
* 7 to 10 years working experience in the payments industry (e-commerce, banking, etc).
* Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
* Excellent communication skills.
* Leadership skills ideally developed in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
* Proven track record of managing a team in a senior role.
* Absence of criminal record
* Availability and permission to work in the UK.
Duties
* Assisting to apply UK EMI licence and follow up the licence matters
* Manage operational activities of the UK entity.
* Oversee legal and contractual work.
* Liaison with the regulators, shareholders, partners, clients and bankers.
* Recruitment of employees.
* Team management and business development.
* Business trips whenever required.
