This role is ideal for enthusiastic, resilient, and motivated individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives. As a Senior Children's Support Worker, you will support young people aged 8-18 years with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and caring environment. If you thrive in a dynamic, busy setting and want to contribute to meaningful change, this could be the perfect role for you.

* Maintain a homely, friendly environment within the residential home.
* Manage challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically.
* Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
* Support young people to develop independence and well-being.
* Ensure a safe environment and keep up-to-date with individual care plans, guidelines, and reward systems.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements

* Experience as a Children's Support Worker or with Young People is desirable but not essential.
* Experience within healthcare or social care settings is advantageous.
* Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence, as transportation of young people may be required.
* Must be over 21 years of age.
* Ability to commute to Plymouth.
* Passionate about supporting young people aged 8-16 with EBD and eager to develop a career in health and social care.

Additional Benefits

* Paid activities such as bike rides and visits to theme parks.
* Fully funded opportunity to complete the QCF Level 4 Children & Young People qualification.
* Company pension scheme.
* 28 days annual leave.
* Comprehensive training and CPD planning.
* Opportunities to maximise earnings and career progression.
* Enhanced disclosure cost coverage.

Shift Pattern

* 16-24 hour shifts, including sleep-ins, on a one-on-two or two-on-four basis.
