TXM Recruit are looking for a Mechanical Fitter on an initial contract basis to work for an engineering company in Doncaster initially then move to new site in Burton. The standard rate for this role is £24.70ph Umb/£18.20 PAYE (inside IR35) with overtime enhancements after 37 hrs. The role is expected to be Monday to Friday days predominantly with some Afternoons (paid at a 20% uplift), 37 hours per week with occasional overtime. There will be a 9/10 months training at Doncaster with Mileage paid for travel to this depot (30p per mile), the role will then move to a new facility being built in Barton under Needwood (Burton upon Trent, DE13 area) where there will be the opportunity to go permanent after a short while. Position Summary: To carry out Mechanical fitting work on Rolling Stock components Person Profile/Experience: Prior Rolling Stock experience is Desirable but not essential Good Heavy Mechanical experience is essential ( ie HGV,Plant,REME, Aircraft,Engines, Diesel fitters, Agricultural etc although not restrictive) No formal qualifications required Good attitude and willing to be flexible You must also be able to pass a Medical, Drug & Alcohol screening.
