About the role
We are seeking to recruit Statistical Methodologists to join the CoRE team at UCL. The role holder will typically be expected to contribute to two priority topics or one priority topic and statistical computing, with a focus on the following CoRE priority topics:
1. Designing late phase and early-phase basket platform protocols
2. Informing clinical decisions between multiple approved treatments
3. Identifying when less-intensive treatments can be used
4. Advancing platform trials
5. Unleashing the full potential of digital and biomarker outcomes
The role holder will join a wider group of junior and senior Statistical Methodologists working within the CoRE in its partner institutions, and with the wider CoRE research community which includes, national and internationally based Clinicians, CTUs and with Industry.
The successful candidate will also benefit from Associate Membership of the About you
Applicants should have a post-graduate qualification in medical statistics, coupled with a thorough understanding and experience of using statistical methods for design and/ or analysis in medical research. They must have the ability to write programs independently using one or more stats package (Stata, SAS or R). They should be able to take initiative, prioritise and organise their own workloads.
What we offer
We are recruiting for positions, either at a Grade 7 Research Fellow or a Grade 8 Senior Research Fellow (Statistical Methodologist).
The salary offered will be at Grade 7 (£43, - £52,) or Grade 8 (£54, - £64,) per annum depending on skill and experience.
