THE OPPORTUNITY – ROTATING EQUIPMENT ENGINEER (PGC) The Rotating Equipment Engineer is required to provide discipline support to the onshore team, meeting business objectives with a specific focus on Process Gas Compressors (PGC) equipment. Will ensure equipment and system availability through proactive mitigation of degradation, active support to front line operations, and development and execution of plans for short, medium to long term maintenance and upgrades. Initial Duration: 12 - month PAYE contract Location: Aberdeen based with site visits to Barrow terminal PAYE Contract Rate: To be confirmed Spirit Energy currently have a non-contractual hybrid working arrangement for all office-based workers. There are 3 core days that must be worked in the office. Tuesday and Wednesday are compulsory days and another day of the workers choosing. The other 2 days can be either worked at home or in the office. AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT… In role, you will be accountable for: Undertaking daily monitoring of operational PGCs Interfacing with the team at site Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with the Spirit Energy maintenance philosophy, UK safety, environmental and quality systems. Continually reviewing effectiveness of working practices and systems to increase reliability and availability of rotating equipment Ensuring that rotating equipment maintenance records and plant history are updated using SAP. Supporting vendors to deliver the work safely, on time and cost effectively. ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role you will have: Maintenance and operations experience in the oil and gas industry, in a mechanical or similar role. Knowledge and understanding of gas engines driven reciprocating compressor packages and support systems. The ability to build relationship across various disciplines and functions.
