Job description
The Department of Clinical & Biomedical Sciences (CBS) at the University of Exeter, in partnership with the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, is expanding a Genomic Medicine research and clinical service. You will work within the NIHR-funded Exeter Biomedical Research Centre, contributing to the Genetics and Genomics theme, the UK Human Functional Genomics Initiative, and the Exeter NIHR Clinical Research Facility.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Developing and leading translational genomic research projects in a range of sub‑specialties (rare/common disease, epigenomics, data science, functional genomics, paediatric, prenatal, neurogenetics, cardiac or cancer genetics)
* Securing grant funding and publishing high‑quality research
* Delivering patient‑focused clinical services across Exeter, Bristol and the wider South West region
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including genetic counsellors, genomic practitioners and administrative staff
* Using integrated digital systems (Epic and PhenoTips) for seamless, data‑informed care
