Job description
Security Architect - Network & Cloud
Location: Belfast (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite)
Salary: Competitive
Type: Permanent
Overview
Staffline Recruitment Ireland are partnering with a large, highly respected global organisation to recruit a Security Architect specialising in Network and Cloud environments.
This is a senior, hands-on architecture role where you'll take ownership of designing and shaping cloud-based network security across a complex, enterprise-scale environment. You'll work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping to ensure cloud platforms are secure, resilient, and aligned with best-practice security standards.
If you enjoy designing security solutions rather than responding to incidents, and you want to operate as a true design authority, this role will be of strong interest.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Designing and implementing secure cloud-native network architectures and solutions
2. Defining and embedding security standards, patterns, and best practices across cloud platforms
3. Leading the design and ongoing improvement of cloud security controls and tooling
4. Assessing cloud environments to identify security risks and design gaps
5. Producing clear, well-structured architecture and solution documentation
6. Acting as a trusted security advisor to engineering teams and senior stakeholders
What We're Looking For
7. Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud security solutions
8. Experience in deploying enterprise CASB and CNAPP solutions
9. Solid background in network security within cloud environments ( segmentation, access controls, traffic management)
10. Experience working with identity and access management solutions in the cloud (Microsoft Entra ID desired)
11. Proven ability to assess security risk and translate it into practical architectural solutions
12. Comfortable working in regulated or security-conscious environments
13. Confident communicator, able to explain complex security concepts clearly
A formal degree is welcome but not essential if you bring equivalent hands-on experience.
Applicants must have full rights to work unrestricted in the United Kingdom, and be able to reliably commute to the work location on a hybrid basis.
