About The Role FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking two Senior Business Data Analysts to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is a 6 month contract with the potential to extend. The role follows a hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of 50% onsite expected in either the Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Manchester office locations. The BDAs will be responsible for producing a series of High‑Level Analysis Documents (HLADs) that define the target architecture and future delivery roadmap- balancing implementation options, risks, costs, and overall benefits. Responsibilities: 1. Data Self Service Enablement Support the definition of an organisation‑wide self‑service data strategy, identifying key user groups and analysing their data needs. Contribute to designing a governed data discovery and access framework enabling users to easily find, consume, and share trusted data and BI assets. 2. Customer Data Integration and Consolidation Shape approaches for unifying customer information across systems to improve consistency and support digital journeys. Help define how priority customer interaction data should be incorporated into a consolidated view. Support recommendations for integrating digital channels and operational processes with core customer data services. 3. Master and Reference Data Foundations Analyse and define approaches for improving quality and consistency of core customer and product data. Contribute to enhancing data matching, mastering, and reference‑data rules, including establishing controlled sources of truth. 4. CRM and Customer Engagement Data Alignment Identify behavioural and customer interaction data required to feed into CRM and related platforms. Support improved documentation, metadata, and lineage for critical data elements. Contribute to defining integration requirements between CRM and strategic data platforms. About You Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst, ideally within large‑scale data transformation or enterprise‑level data programmes. Strong background in data architecture, data governance, MDM, CRM data flows, customer data platforms, or enterprise data improvements. Ability to translate complex data problems into clear analysis and recommendations (HLADs). Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work across business, technology, and data teams.
