Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design, demonstrating both technical proficiency and an eye for detail. This role requires effective communication skills to understand client needs and deliver high-quality finishes in residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
* Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks.
* Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
* Select appropriate materials and techniques based on the project requirements.
* Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and finishes.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored safely.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople as necessary to complete projects efficiently.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during the painting process.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
* Experience in driving is an advantage for transporting materials to various job sites.
* Proficiency in various painting techniques and knowledge of different types of paints and finishes is essential.
* A keen eye for detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
