Overview
We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Technician - Plumbing. This is a permanent, full-time role based at Milford CDC. The role is mobile, covering Milford and Guildford. The starting salary is from £39,000 (depending on experience) plus on-call allowance. Working hours are 37.5 per week, typically Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm.
Responsibilities
* Deliver Scheduled, Reactive and Remedial maintenance services as directed by the PPM planner (CAFM), helpdesk or Technical Services Supervisor, ensuring operational standards are always maintained.
* Fault finding, minor repairs or installations and maintaining services and equipment within critical environments.
* Undertake tasks in disciplines other than your own as required.
* Assess problems to determine the best course of action, including complex technical issues, and communicate technical information to various stakeholders.
* Maintain effective site log books at NHS premises where required, ensuring they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
* Work with the Projects/Construction team and Technical Supervisor in identifying, scoping and delivering minor capital works for NHS premises.
* Provide practical training to staff and contractors (e.g., site inductions and emergency procedures).
Requirements
* Qualifications - at least one of the following: BTEC City & Guilds plus relevant experience and training; NVQ Level 3 Plumbing & Heating Engineering or equivalent; formal apprenticeship or craft trained equivalent; ventilation experience is preferred.
* Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
* On-call availability and comfortable using technological devices to log jobs.
* Desirable to have industry experience and the ability to work alone and/or as part of a wider team with other Technical Disciplines.
* DBS and DVLA checks will be required for this role.

* Ensure compliance with NHSPS Health, Safety & Wellbeing Policies, NHSPS Technical Guidance, processes and procedures, statutory regulations, and HTMs.
* Ensure new or revised practices and policies are implemented within own work areas.
* Deliver planned, reactive and remedial maintenance services as directed, maintaining operational standards.
* Perform fault finding, minor repairs or installations and maintain services and equipment in critical environments.
* Communicate complex information to stakeholders as needed.
* Keep site log books up to date where required.
