Do you have Electrical Mechanical (EMECH) Engineering or Manufacturing experience?
Assembly Technician assemble parts and components for new products according to specifications from SOPs. In addition, you might be called to perform diagnostic tests of assembled goods before they’re sold to check their efficiency so any adjustments can be made accordingly. Assembly Technicians’ responsibilities include constructing items in a warehouse. In addition, they are responsible for building a final product based on instructions and specifications outlined by Engineering. Ultimately, you will work in a fast-paced environment where you will construct various items from smaller parts that will be sold to customers
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Perform assembly of electronic and mechanical components according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements.
* Ensure production/assembly requirements and deadlines are met as required, and any issues are highlighted to management immediately.
* Conduct modifications, rework, and repairs using approved methods and tools.
* Work from layout drawings, point-to-point wire lists and wiring schematics
* Support the setting up of new assembly processes in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineers.
* Install electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools
* Ensure reworks are in line with quality standards.
* Adhere to and contribute to Quality, Risk Management, and Environmental Plans, including ISO and Health & Safety procedures.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities
* Undertake general tasks as required by the supervisor or manager to support production efficiency.
Qualifications and Competencies

* Proven work experience as an Assembly Technician or similar role Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and follow work instructions accurately.
* Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, as well as mechanical measuring equipment and torque wrenches.
* High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work in an ISO9001 environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
* Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset.
* Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated dexterity and ability to work with precision on small or complex components.
* Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards in a production setting.
