HGV Class 2 Driver People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich, West Midlands. Shifts: Working any 5 nights out of 7: start times between 01:00 and 03:00 Rates of pay: Basic: £15.87 per hour Benefits: Your benefits as a HGV Class 2 Driver will be: Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Site canteen Training provided Immediate starts Employee well-being programme Day-to-day duties: As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to): Conducting supermarket deliveries (handball required - modern cages with wheels) Operating and driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential skills: To be successful as a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category C licence A minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category C vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes A valid UK CPC card and Digi card Good spoken and written English Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable experience: Previous commercial driving experience Previous multi-drop delivery experience Training: Driver's assessment must be completed before starting A one-day paid induction will follow successful assessment Contact: If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity as a HGV Class 2 Driver, apply today by clicking the link below or contact our recruitment team to find out more.
