Overview
The Property Service are creating a new Carbon Strategy team which will drive our corporate approach to creating a more sustainable property portfolio. We are looking for an Energy Engineer to assist our drive to highlight and reduce energy and water wastage across the County. The salary is £40,788 - £46,142 per annum. This is a permanent, full time role (37 hours per week, pro rata as applicable). The successful candidate will have experience of delivering a broad, property-based decarbonisation strategy and will bring an innovative and collaborative approach to making a difference in Lancashire.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical advice on a commercial basis in accordance with the Property Service business plan
* Implement Council energy policies under the direction of the Senior Energy Engineer
* Undertake energy and water surveys/site investigations as required and write reports
* Offer support in energy procurement activities
* Prepare de-carbonisation schemes and tender documents for the implementation of investment measures
* Engage with clients to help resolve energy and water queries relating to cost or consumption
* Generate Display Energy Certificates and Recommendations Reports as required
Qualifications and attributes
* Experience delivering a broad, property-based decarbonisation strategy
* Attention to detail and enthusiasm for new ways of working to improve systems and processes
* Innovative and collaborative approach
* Willingness to participate in environmental and asset improvement projects (e.g., community tree planting events, developing decarbonisation projects)
