Role Overview: The successful candidate will work closely with children, families and multi‑agency teams to improve family outcomes, focusing on safeguarding children and empowering families to thrive independently. Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with families, children and other professionals to develop and implement tailored support plans.
* Manage complex court cases involving child protection investigations.
* Coordinate and chair meetings, produce concise reports and engage effectively with children and their families.
* Ensure all interventions prioritise child welfare and family support, making decisions in line with statutory guidelines.
* Promote a safe and positive environment that upholds the values of social care.
Requirements
* Social Work qualification and HCPC registration with at least 2 years of experience.
* Proven experience managing complex children and family cases, particularly in court proceedings and child protection.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding principles and children’s social care theory, legislation and practices.
* Excellent report writing and communication skills.
* Ability to make sound decisions based on analysis and professional judgement.
* Flexibility in working hours to meet operational demands, including emergencies.
* A valid DBS check and UK work authorisation.
* Must be able to safely transport children and families when required.
