Job Title: Conveyancing Legal Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to support our conveyancing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Providing administrative support to conveyancers, paralegals, and other legal professionals.
2. Drafting, reviewing, and proofreading legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
3. Preparing and maintaining accurate files and documentation for property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and leasehold matters.
4. Liaising with clients, estate agents, and third parties to keep all parties informed about transaction statuses.
5. Coordinating the exchange of contracts and completion dates, ensuring adherence to timelines and proper filing.
6. Handling correspondence, emails, and phone inquiries related to conveyancing.
7. Managing appointments, meetings, and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
8. Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and office policies regarding conveyancing.
9. Assisting with invoice preparation and billing for clients.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-focused approach.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* A proactive, positive, and approachable attitude, with a willingness to support the team.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
