Humankind Charity, in partnership with Project 6, is proud to introduce Likewise, a brand-new alcohol and drug service aimed at supporting adults across Sheffield. At Likewise, we provide information, advice, and professional support to empower individuals to make healthier choices regarding alcohol and drug use. Our mission is to enhance safety and promote recovery through a comprehensive range of services, delivered by experienced local providers, ensuring no one is left without the assistance they need, no matter the complexity of their needs.
Likewise, is commissioned by Sheffield City Council and strives to create a safe, supportive environment where individuals can develop essential life skills, regain confidence, and achieve lasting recovery. We believe in helping our service users reintegrate into society as active, contributing citizens.
Your Role as a Recovery Worker- HOPE Team
As a Recovery Worker, you will hold a caseload and provide 1:1 support for our service users, from brief interventions through to structured treatment, including groups to ensure that every recovery journey is tailored to individual needs and priorities.
You will take a whole person holistic approach to ensure that every service users package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Responding to calls and enquiries in a timely and appropriate manner, adhering to agreed-upon timescales.
* Conducting screening of enquiries and addressing a variety of issues, including prescribing queries.
* Booking appointments using electronic diary management and connecting callers to other staff members as needed.
* Providing support during calls from individuals in crisis or at risk.
* Offering a swift, coordinated response and directing callers to the relevant part of the service, employing standardised triage assessment forms.
About you
* Strong Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication is essential for this role, as you will be interacting with service users and colleagues regularly.
* Customer Service Experience: Prior experience in a customer service role is a valuable asset, demonstrating your ability to provide excellent support and assistance.
* Risk Assessment: You should have the ability to assess and understand risks associated with the situations you encounter, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
* Safeguarding Knowledge: Familiarity with safeguarding issues is crucial to protect the well-being of our service users.
* Diversity Sensitivity: A deep understanding of diversity-related concerns and needs is necessary, as our service users come from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
* Record Keeping: Your attention to detail is vital, as it will be your responsibility to accurately and comprehensively record all relevant information and data in our management information system.

The salary advertised above demonstrates the full earning potential for this role, starting salaries will allow for pay progression within the pay band
