Job summary
The Assistant Clinical Educator will assist in preparing and delivering education and training that meets organisational needs and post holder will take responsibility as part of the education team in the delivery of education to non-emergency patient transport operational staff members, which will include the delivery of accredited qualifications,training and learning opportunities within the education centre and in post holder will also provide guidance to NEPTS managers and team members in order to improve the dissemination of learning within localities and facilitate the continuing professional development of non-emergency patient transport staff.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant Clinical Educator is primarily responsible for preparing and delivering accredited education courses for Patient Transport Services (PTS) staff as well as interventions and assessments to meet organisational requirements, with an additional focus on mandatory/statutory training and work-based contract for Lincolnshire Patient Transport Services is held by East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EMAS) and this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with an interest in education to lead on the education of the Patient Transport Service staff and new staff working in a non-emergency patient facing role.Following a period of induction and development, you will report to the senior clinical educator and you will be responsible for the delivery of education programmes to include an accredited qualification.

- Provide a range of education and training to Patient Transport Services (PTS) as required, including but not limited to statutory andmandatory training and induction.- Provide assessment and remedial training for staff following referrals from PTS managers.- Monitor and evaluate the delivery of education, content and teaching materials to ensure the quality exceeds the minimum standards asrequired by internal and external quality assurance processes.- Provide mentoring and where appropriate signpost students to pastoral services.- At agreed times, undertake roster-based clinical duties by agreement with the Operations Management Team to support organisationalgoals and maintain personal skills.
