We are seeking a passionate individual who wants to help improve our operations to deliver even more for the environment. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will understand and analyse user and business needs, helping to ensure outcomes are aligned with service vision and business strategy. You will contribute to linking current and future business models and support the delivery of the business architecture. You will challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve fit-for-purpose solutions. Collaboration and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels will be key, working alongside project teams, technical teams, and stakeholders.
Senior BAs are expected to lead in identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to improve the Business Analysis Service, acting as technical leads, supporting colleagues, and shaping work scope.
The team
The Business Analysis Service primarily supports the Chief Regulator Group, leading and supporting various critical change initiatives. Our mission is to empower colleagues through insightful analysis to maximize opportunities and resources, ensuring decisions contribute to better places for people and wildlife and support sustainable development. Experience/skills Required
* Leadership: Strong leadership skills guiding colleagues, leading projects, and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for conveying findings and recommendations effectively.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Proven experience engaging with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.
* Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex business problems, identify issues, and inform decisions.
* Project Delivery: Experience managing analytical support products like requirements catalogues, impact assessments, and business process models.
Desirable Experience/Qualifications
* Extensive experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
* Relevant qualifications in business analysis.
* Ability to switch between tasks/projects supporting business needs.
* Experience working in an Agile environment or with Government Digital Service.
* Experience leading refinement sessions.
* Commitment to continuous professional development and sharing expertise.
