Pay Rate: £130 – £251+ per day (depending on experience)

Are you an imaginative and inspiring Art and Design Teacher ready to nurture creativity in the classroom?
GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Art and Design Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across schools in Derby.
As an Art and Design Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students explore their artistic abilities through a wide range of mediums and techniques. You will encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving, while ensuring lessons are accessible, enjoyable, and aligned with the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities of an Art and Design Teacher
* Plan and deliver engaging Art and Design lessons that inspire creativity and skill development.
* Encourage students to experiment with different artistic techniques and materials.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued.
* Support and promote school exhibitions, projects, or displays of student artwork.
What we need
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent qualification.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
* Experience teaching Art and Design in schools is desirable.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
