Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM)
Amazon is seeking a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to support our European Data Center infrastructure growth initiatives. Based in Dublin or London, the TIPM will lead cross‑functional teams to implement and deploy data center expansion projects to meet the demands of our rapidly growing business.
Key Responsibilities
* Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces.
* Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross‑functional and remote teams.
* Up to 25% travel is envisaged within EMEA (Delivery TIPMs only).
* Be responsible for end‑to‑end program delivery from pre‑contract design up to final handover to Operations of Colo, Hybrid Colo & AWS Leased/Owned Data Centers in the EMEA region.
* Manage interface between internal stakeholders (Real Estate, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Infrastructure Deployment, Networking, Operations, Security, Fiber, Finance, etc.) and external stakeholders (Contractors, Colo Vendors) to ensure on‑time and on‑budget delivery of Data Center projects.
* Build and maintain the overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to senior leadership to secure finance for project delivery.
* Work with Capacity Planning, Energy and Real Estate teams to develop short‑ and long‑term build strategies to meet forecast demand.
* Support continuous process improvement through leading workflow updates, documenting and implementing lessons learned, and sharing knowledge across delivery teams to ensure EMEA‑wide efficiency improvements.
* Regularly report to senior leadership on the status of key project metrics versus the commitments of your projects.
* Deliver critical capacity (DC builds) of high value at pace.
* Function in high ambiguity situations, engage stakeholder teams, and deal with senior level external stakeholders.
* Resolve complex technical and non‑technical risks, issues and blockers.
* Take ownership of multi‑build, cross‑region programs in parallel.
* Work with partners to shape cluster growth.
* Operate fluently as a Project Manager—knowledge, tools, admin, principles, techniques, communication, reporting, etc.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical field.
* Experience in program or project management.
* Experience managing medium to large‑scale projects.
* Experience directly related to the design or construction of data centers or critical infrastructure or large‑scale mechanical and electrical plants.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering.
* Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
* Experience working with multiple stakeholders at various levels and in different locales to drive alignment.
