We are looking for an Activity Co-ordinator to join our team at Cygnet Long Eaton Day Service. This role will be working full time, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm.
Long Eaton Day Services specialises in supporting individuals with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs, physical disabilities and those with autism. We have a long history of enhancing the quality of life of the individuals who attend the service.
Your Day-to-Day
We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the care of patients at the service by assisting the Occupational Therapist with:
* Encouraging patients to access and become involved in a variety of activities as well as maintaining any pre-existing hobbies.
* Planning and implementing therapy programmes whilst ensuring appropriate materials are obtained.
* Contributing ideas, facilitating events and activities in a safe manner.
We are looking for someone who has experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities. Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy, creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion is desirable.
