Overview The purpose of the role is to own the UKI Tax compliance and reporting agenda to ensure the full compliance and timely reporting, as well as to be the primary contact to HMRC as related to tax matters Responsibilities Lead and review the UK Corporation Tax work, working closely with advisors, including CIR and Capital Allowances, to ensure timely and accurate submission of returns. Lead and review preparation and submission of accurate UK and Ireland Tax returns which includes VAT, PSA, STBV, SAO report and other returns on time. Ensure all payments are made on time including VAT, Corporation tax, etc. Provide guidance and advice to the business on VAT rates and ensure timely approval of VAT codes in SAP based on an agreed framework and SLAs. Timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting under USGAAP, including FAS109 HFM reporting. Lead and review deferred tax calculation and ensure accuracy, including performing the annual Deferred Tax study in line with PEP Policy. Timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on tax related deliverables to US Corp. and Sector Control, including Pillar 2 reporting. Lead and review preparation of accurate Tax notes for statutory financial statements. Lead quarterly budgeting and forecasting of tax expense and VAT cash flow. Own relevant SOX and GCS controls and ensure effectiveness. Lead automation initiatives in relation to tax reporting (eg. VAT automated submissions). Act as a first point of contract for HMRC communication (SAO, and other compliance with HMRC). Manage two indirect reports at MBS/IBM. Good understanding of SAP and HFM. Qualifications ACA or equivalent qualification with a strong accounting background. Strong knowledge of UK taxes (Corporate, VAT and Customs), supported with 5 years of relevant experience (Big4 or comparable industry preferably). Good understanding of SAP and HFM. Experience of dealing with auditors – external or internal. Experience with dealing with HMRC and professional advisors. Experience in managing an outsourced team. Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to take others including senior management with you.
