A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in the WN6 area of Wigan is seeking a Sociology graduate to join their pastoral or behaviour support team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone considering a career in education, youth work, social care, or mentoring.
Your Role Will Include:
Supporting students with behaviour, attendance, or wellbeing challenges
Working 1:1 and in small groups to build trust, resilience, and motivation
Assisting with restorative practices and conflict resolution
Helping to deliver interventions focused on emotional regulation, inclusion, and positive relationships
Collaborating with the pastoral, SEND and safeguarding teams to provide holistic support
Has a degree in Sociology or a related subject
Understands the impact of social and cultural factors on education and behaviour
Is empathetic, confident, and committed to making a difference
Can build strong relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds
Has experience in education, youth work, community work, or similar (preferred but not essential)
