Overview
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is seeking a Practice Educator – Nursing and Midwifery, Practice Education and Pre-registration. The post is hosted in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and may cover other boards within the West region as required. The role supports access to learning and development resources for clinical care close to where nurses and midwives practice. It is a permanent, full-time position (37 hours per week) with remote-friendly arrangements and flexible working patterns, hosted by NES and based in Scotland. Eligibility to work in the UK must be maintained throughout employment.
Responsibilities
* Provide visible and sustainable educational leadership across NES and the West region.
* Support education and development of nurses and midwives across the career framework, with emphasis on levels 5 and 6 practitioners in care giving roles.
* Improve access to high-quality learning resources and development opportunities for nurses and midwives.
* Collaborate across organisations and partner with multiple professional groups to deliver education and workforce development.
* Work with a national network and regional support from line managers and peers.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered nurse or midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
* Experience in education, teaching or facilitation; commitment to multi-professional education approaches.
* Strong communication skills; ability to simplify complex information for diverse stakeholders.
* Ability to work autonomously, organise and prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
