A welcoming and well-structured 11–18 secondary school in north Derbyshire is seeking an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher of History to join its supportive Humanities department from January 2026.

The Role
This is an ideal first post for an ECT. You will teach History across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to gain KS5 experience as your confidence develops. The department provides detailed schemes of work, shared resources and collaborative planning time, allowing you to focus on refining your classroom practice.
You will:
* Deliver engaging lessons supported by clear curriculum planning
* Develop strong routines for behaviour, retrieval and assessment
* Receive regular coaching, observation and feedback
* Work closely with experienced History specialists who mentor ECTs effectively
