About the role
Data engineers build. Data scientists model. But someone needs to decide what gets built, why it matters, and whether it's actually delivering value. That's this role.
You'll own a portfolio of data products within a domain - defining what each product is, who it serves, and what outcome it drives. You'll maintain the roadmap, make trade-offs, drive adoption, and kill things that aren't working. You're the interface between business stakeholders who need data to make decisions and the engineering teams who build it.
This isn't a reporting role or a project management role. It's product management applied to data: own the product, define the value, control the cost, and drive the decision.
