About the Role:
We are seeking individuals for our part-time Community Home Helper positions. This role is perfect for those who have accumulated a wealth of life experience and wish to use it to support elderly individuals in their homes, helping them maintain their independence with dignity and respect.
Responsibilities:
* Provide companionship and engaging conversation, drawing on your life experiences.
* Assist with daily tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and running errands.
* Help with personal care in a manner that respects the client's dignity.
* Encourage and support physical activities and exercises.
* Offer medication reminders and assist with mobility.
* Accompany clients to appointments and social events, providing transportation if needed.
Person Specification:
* Individuals with a compassionate, patient nature.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Reliable individuals committed to making a positive impact.
* No previous experience in caregiving needed; full training will be provided.
* A driving licence and vehicle access are required due to the rural location of some clients.
